General admission is $22. IMSOM member passes cannot be used at this one, but there is a $5 discount made available for IMSOM members. You will have to show your 2009 member pass to avail this discount.

About the Artists:

Aditya Verma is a young virtuoso sarod player who collaborates with artists around the globe in classical and popular music. Growing up in Montreal, in a family deeply involved in the traditions of India, he started playing tabla at an early age. In 1987, he moved to India to study Hindustani classical music. Verma also trained under Ustad Ali Akbar Khan. In addition to concerts on stage, TV, and radio, he has recorded CDs, and composed music for recordings and films. He has received many awards.

Aditya Kalyanpur was groomed from age five by legendary Indian musicians Ustad Zakir Hussain and the late Ustad Allarakha. First seen with Zakir Hussain in a famous commercial, he has since lent his talents to many projects. He has performed with Hussain and as a soloist and accompanist at music festivals around the world, performing with great artists in many differents styles of music. Based in Boston, he is on the faculty of the Raganjali School of Music.

About the venue:

Sundin Music Hall is located on the campus of Hamline University on Hewitt Avenue, one-half block east of Snelling Ave in St. Paul. Free parking is available in lots directly east of the hall.
