e-home of IMSOM, the premier Indian arts and
cultural organization in the Twin Cities of Minneapolis and Saint Paul,
MN. Through these pages we hope to bring you regular and up-to-date
information on IMSOM's activities. For more than 25 years, IMSOM has been bringing the best in Indian classical music to the Twin Cities and fostering a greater understanding between people of different cultures. To celebrate this, we have brought out a set of four CDs, two each of Hindustani and Carnatic music, containing vocal and instrumental excerpts of live recordings selected from past concerts of IMSOM. In the face of great arts funding adversity, IMSOM
has prevailed and existed longer than any other Indian arts
organization in the Twin Cities. IMSOM is co
nsistently growing into a valuable resource
for not only the Indian community, but also for the Twin Cities' arts
community at large. This year's concert series, like in previous years,
has become an important part of the Twin Cities' arts calendar.
