He has been a regular accompanying artist with Pandit Shivkumar Sharma on his numerous tours. More recently, Satish Vyas has made a name for himself as a top class solo artist on the Santoor. Satish has had an unusual career compared to many musicians of his generation. As he was receiving his training in Hindustani vocal music from his father, Pandit C. R. Vyas, a premier vocalist and teacher in India, he continued his academic career and secured his BS in Mathematics and an MS in Statistics and Business Management. After holding top positions in several industrial and commercial firms, he decided to devote all of his time to pursue a career in music. His interest in Santoor began in 1976 and he ultimately spent several years in training with Pandit Shivkumar Sharma. His efforts have been amply rewarded and today he is considered one of the topmost Santoor artists in India. Aside from his own concerts, he has also spent considerable time and energy organizing a series of musical conferences, which have come to be known as Gunidas Sammelans, in memory of his father's Guru, Pandit Gajananbuva Purohit, known popularly as Gunidas. These conferences have become well recognized all over India, not only for seasoned performers but also as a stepping stone for younger artists of promise. Satish is currently on his third tour of the U.S.A. and will be performing and lecturing in over a dozen cities across the country. Ramdas Palsule, from Pune (India), is recognized as a talented and a versatile Tabla player. His style is crisp and creative. He is a disciple of Pandit Suresh Talwalkar, a highly regarded Tabla maestro and a venerated teacher of many young Tabla players. Ramdas has travelled widely all over India and abroad to U.S.A., Canada, Germany, Gulf countries and Africa, both as an accompanist and as a solo performer. He has accompanied many artistes including Shahid Parvez Khan (Sitar), Vishwa Mohan Bhatt (guitar), Jitendra Abhisheki (vocal), N.
