About the artists:

Vijay Siva was a disciple of "Sangita Kalanidhi" Late Sri. D.K. Jayaraman since 1977 and had his early training in music from his mother, Smt. Akhila Siva, a vocal musician from Carnatic Music College, Chennai. Vijay Siva has a Masters degree in Commerce from Madurai Kamaraj University. At present he receives guidance from Smt. D.K. Pattammal. He has also been trained in Mridangam by Kumbakonam Sri. Rajappa Iyer. He has toured the USA, France, Singapore and Canada. Vijay was awarded the "Youth Award for Excellence" by the Maharajapuram Viswanatha Iyer Trust in 1995 and the title "Isai Peroli" by Kartik Fine Arts in 1995. He is the first recipient of the "Kalki Krishnamurthy Award" presented by Kalki Krishnamurthy Memorial Trust, Chennai in 1996. He serves as the Founder Secretary of the Youth Association for Classical Music (YACM), an organization to promote young musicians and Rasikas.

R. K. Sriramkumar is the grandson of the veteran violinist "Sangita Kalaratna" Sri. R.K. Venkatrama Sastri. He learnt music initially under Smt. Savitri Satyamurthy. He was later trained by his grandfather and had advanced guidance from the famed violinist Prof. V.V. Subramanyam. He has also had training in vocal music from "Sangita Kalanidhi" Late Sri. D.K. Jayaraman. He is a leading violin artist providing accompaniment to all the leading lights of Carnatic music. He has also given many solo violin concerts and at a very young age, reached a high level of proficiency and stature. He has accompanied doyens like Semmangudi, M.S. Subbulakshmi, D.K. Pattammal and his guru Late D.K. Jayaraman, T. Brinda, K.V. Narayanaswamy, T.V. Sankaranarayanan, T.N. Seshagopalan, Dr. N. Ramani, and Dr. M. Balamuralikrishna. Sriramkumar has toured the USA, UK, Mauritius, Singapore, Canada, Malaysia, Muscat, France, Holland, Switzerland, and Australia.

J. Vaidyanathan, son of "Sangitha Kalanidhi" Late Sri D.K.Jayaraman had his advanced training from "Sangitha Kalanidhi" Dr. T.K. Murthy. He has won several prizes and awards. He has accompanied Smt. M.S. Subbalakshmi, Smt. D.K. Pattammal, Late Smt. M.L. Vasanthakumari, Late Sri. D.K.Jayaraman, Late Dr. S. Ramanathan, Sri. K.V. Narayanaswamy, Sri. B. Rajam Iyer, Sri. T.N. Krishnan, Sri M.S. Gopalakrishnan and regularly accompanies many top ranking artists throughout India. He has given performances in the USA, USSR, Singapore, Muscat, Mauritius, Australia. This is his fifth tour of the USA and Canada.
