Ensemble
Heartbeat - Carnatic Rhythm
Ensemble is a
Perfect Blend of Melody and Rhythm,
presents the traditional classical art
form in the highest level of
improvisation, with all its splendor and
diversity. Heartbeat is ‘Contemporary
and Traditional’ by the blend and the
effect is magical. Heartbeat Ensemble
features the original compositions and
rhythmic pieces of Ghatam Karthick,
which have been highly commended and
endorsed by learned scholars and
legendary maestros. The Heartbeat
Ensemble has given many performances all
over India and also toured to USA,
Canada, Australia, New Zealand,
Singapore, Bahrain and Sri Lanka. The
audiences across the globe respond
enthusiastically to the ensembles’
entertaining presentations.
Heartbeat Ensemble has released six
albums which have been highly commended
by press and public.

the Artists
Dr 'Ghatam' Karthick
(Ghatam, Konnakol, & Vocal)
Karthick an iconic star
Ghatam artiste, has performed with almost all top
ranked Classical artists, all over the world.
Karthick is a student of Ghatam Maestros
Sri.T.H.Vikku Vinayakram and Sri. T.H.Subash
Chandran. Karthick has extensively performed with
Indian film Industry and collaborated with many
International Artistes. Karthick has PhD in
Sanskrit and Masters in Music. Karthick leads the
Heartbeat Ensemble and is a prolific composer of
many Tillanas, Kritis, Varnams and Fusion
Pieces. Karthick is always known for
intelligent innovations and creative ventures. All
these facets have earned him a very special
endearing status in the hearts, minds and thoughts
of many musical enthusiasts, admirers and scholars
all over the World.
Kamalakiran Vinjamuri (Violin)
Kamalakiran
Vinjamuri is a classically trained Violinist,
having had his initial lessons from his
grandfather Sri.Parthsarathy Iyengar and
Smt.Malladi Vijayalakshmi. His father Sri.Subash
Vinjamuri taught and moulded him further and put
him under Kum.A.Kanyakumari for advance training.
He has won innumerable prizes from various
instituitions both in India and US, including the
Cleveland Thyagaraja Festival, Madras Music
Academy, Parthasarathy Swami Sabha and many
others. Kamalakiran has been performing with
almost all top notch artistes as a preferred
accompanist as well as a duet with his Guru.
Kamalakiran has also performed many Violin Solo
Concerts all over India, USA and Europe.
Vinod
Krishnan (Vocal & Keyboard)
Vinod Krishnan is a classically trained singer,
composer, music producer and educator. Vinod
Krishnan has learnt from Guru Neyveli Sri.
Santhanagopalan and advance lessons from the
Legend Madurai Sri.T.N.Seshagopalan, and now
currently learns from Madurai Sri. Sundar. He
was the proud recipient of the prestigious CCRT
scholarship awarded by the Indian government for
8 consecutive years. Vinod Krishnan is a unique
blend of being trained in traditional Carnatic
Vocal music as well as Western classical Piano,
which helps him to explore music beyond its
boundaries and find new soundscapes. As a
Creative Director at IndianRaga, his
collaborations are widely popular and have taken
Indian Classical Music Further and bringing the
World Music Together. Vinod's work has been
featured among notable Indian and international
newspapers, websites, magazines and radio
stations. .Vinod had the honour of
performing at the United Nations Headquarters to
inaugurate the 5th International Day of Yoga.
Trivandrum V Balaji (Mridangam)
Trivandrum V Balaji inherits the art of music
and rhythm as a family tradition from his Great
Grandfather Kodiyayal Venkatrama Iyer known for
his Harikatha and Konnakkol. Balaji is the
proud torch bearer of the great doyen Palghat
Sri.Raghu’s majestic style of performing on the
Mridhangam, having had his basics from
B.Doraiswamy, Sri.K.Krishna Iyengar and training
from Vidwan Trivandrum Sri. Vaidhyanathan.
Balaji has accompanied many stalwarts and
reputed Carnatic musicians. Balaji is an A
Graded Artiste from the All India Radio. He has
received several accolades and prizes from the
premier institutions like the All India Radio,
Music Academy, Sri Krishna Gana Sabha and many
others. Balaji is also a proud recipient of
Ustad Bismillah Khan Award, Maharajapuram
Viswanatha Iyer Award and many others. Balaji
has also trained many students all over the
world through online sessions.
N Sarvesh Karthick Rajaram (Dovilangam,
Handsonic, & Multipercussion)
Sarvesh Karthick is an aspiring artiste on
Multi-Percussion, with his intensive traditional
training on the Mridhangam from Guru Sri. T. H.
Subash Chandran. Blessed with a sharp
mind, Sarvesh has the exceptional creative
ability to adapt to different genres and be
adept in musical performing styles, which makes
him a unique artiste. Sarvesh is pursuing B.Sc.
Visual Effects in ICAT college of Design and
Media, Chennai. He is the proud recipient of the
prestigious “Yuva Kala Bharathi” Award from
Bharat Kalachar. Sarvesh has a flair for
techno gadgets and a passion for Audio
Engineering. Sarvesh is a budding composer with
a passion for languages Tamil & Sanskrit. He
inherits the legacy of his father Ghatam
Karthick.
