Kruthi Bhat
(Carnatic Vocal)
Kruthi
Bhat, a young prodigous vocalist in the field of
Carnatic Classical Music, hails from family of
musicians. Kruthi Bhat is a conservator of
her genre's unique beauty and also preserves
ancient tradition as she continues to innovate
within it. Kruthi is disciple of her
mother Vidushi Rajarajeshwari Bhat and her uncle
Vidwan Vittal Ramamurthy. She has had the
privilege of learning from the legendary
Padmabhushan Lalgudi Jayaraman and Sri T R
Subramanyan. She is also blessed to
recieve guidance under renowned musicians
Neyveli Santhanagopalan, S Sowmya, Abhishek
Raghuram, Kalyani Sharma, and Trivandrum G
Seethalakshmi. Kruthi, an All India Radio
graded artist, has performed extensively at
prestegious platforms all over the world and has
numerous titles and awards to her credit.
She is the youngest recipient to date of the
title "Kala Ratna" by Cleveland Thyagaraja
Aradhana Committee, "Isai Chudar" from Karthik
Fine Arts Chennai, and "Yuva Kala Mani" from
Mani Krishnaswamy Academy, "Best Female
Vocalist" from Madras Music Academy as part of
Spirit Of Youth series - to name a few.
Kruthi is a Computer Science Graduate, also
proficient in Indian and Western Classical
Violin, Bharatanatyam and Pastel/Acrylic
painting.
Vittal Rangan
(Violin)
A
young acclaimed violinist, Vittal Rangan is well
known for his flair for exintric ideas without
compromising traditional aesthetics.
Starting from the age of eight, he
had is initial training from Late R R
Keshavamurthy and later from Sangeeta Kalanidhi
Kum A Kanyakumari. An 'A' grade artiste of
All India Radio, Vittal is recipient of numerous
awards - Shanmukhananda Sangeeta Shiromani,
Lavanya Shruti Nipuna (Puvanur Legacy Trust); Best
Concert Award from Madras Music Academy for three
consecutive years; Best Violinist Award from
Kalavanta National Youth Festival - 2014 to name a
few. He carved a niche for himself by not
only being one of the most sort after accompanist,
but a fine solo performer as well. Vittal
has provided violin support to his Guru Kum A
Kanyakumari and other stalwarts of Carnatic
Music. Vittal has toured for concerts in
several countries including USA, Australia, New
Zealand, Malaysia, Singapore, Dubai, Abu Dhabi,
Germany, Belgium, France, Switzerland.
B
Sivaraman (Mridangam)
B Sivaraman hails
from musical family and is son of Late
Sethalapathy Sri S.R.Balasubramanian, himself a
well known musician and disciple of Papanasam
Sivan, a doyen of Tamil Krithis. Sivaraman
was exposed to "Laya" from various school of
thoughts. Even at his tender age, he was
able to reproduce "Sorkattu" (fingering) played
by great doyens with ease. Initially a disciple
of Kumbakonam Sri M Rajappa Iyer, Sivaraman had
advanced training under "Sangeetha Kalanidhi" Dr
T K Murthy. Being a performer since the
age of 15, Sivaraman performs regularly at all
leading sabhas and organizations. An "A"
grade artiste of All India Radio, he has been
conferred with innumerable prestigious awards
from various musical institutes and
sabhaas. He has also traveled extensively
in India and abroad.
Chandrasekara Sharma (Ghatam)
Chandrasekara
Sharama, a vocalist and Ghatam artist,
hails from a family of musicians. His
father T H Gurumurthy is a veteran Carnatic
Vocalist; His uncle T H "Vikku" Vinayakaram is a
legendary Ghatam artist. Chandrasekara
Sharma initially started learning from his uncle
"Sangita Kala Acharya" T H
Subhashchandran. He was blessed to
accompany many icons including his uncle,
Maestro T H Vinayakaram, and his uncle T H
Subhashchandran as part of Rhythm Ensemble
Band. He has also played "Thaniyavartanam"
with renowned maestros like T K Murthy,
Guruvayur Dorai, Thiruvarur Bhaktavatsalam and
more. He has also composed music for films
and TV serials. Chandrasekara Sharma is
also a vocalist and has been trained under
Vijaya Siva and R K Sriramkumar. He also
trains music aspirants in the art of Mridangam,
Khanjira, Konnakol and vocal music.
